23 Silly Cat Memes Purrfect for When Your Brain is Buffering

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Monday is here, and mad is the only acceptable emotion to have at this point. Why you ask? Well, you deserve to feel mad that you had to get out of bed, even if it was to feed your starving cat child. You deserve to feel mad that you had to climb aboard public transport with another hundred or so hoomans, crammed like sardines, just to get to a place that you would rather not be in. and you most definitely deserve to feel mad about having to leave your cute cat child at home, all alone, after spending a sweet weekend with them cuddling and yelling at birds.

So to ease some of that tension you are so rightfully feeling, we figured you might enjoy some feline sillies to pass the time while your brain is still buffering and trying to get up to working speed. It's the least you can do for your own sanity.

Rescue cat 'Fishtopher' undergoes ameowzing transformation from “saddest cat” in the shelter to purr

Posted by Blake Seidel

The only thing that brings us more joy than before and after adoption pictures is opening a new tub of cookie-dough ice cream. And since we're trying to cut back on sweets, we've been purrfectly enjoying a lot more pics of cute kitties thriving in their new furrever homes. They're just as sweet, but with none of the empty calories! In today's terrific tale of awwdoption success, we have a cat that went viral for having the saddest expression in the shelter. His name is Fishtopher, and after getting adopted, he almost looks unrecognizable.

Fishtopher had a purrmenant sad face while staying at the shelter. So much so that the shelter posted about him on his adoption page and it went viral on Twitter, now known as 'X', which resulted in him getting hundreds of adoption requests. This sweet boy was then adopted and now lives with his new feline family and hooman servants. But now, instead of a frown, he wakes up every day with a smile on his purrecious face.

22 Meowvelous Pictures of Cats Conquering Sunday Scrubbing with Sass and Sneaky Paws

Posted by Sarah Brown

Sunday is the ultimate fur-day for cleaning, especially when the main culprits of chaos are the cats themselves. After a week of fur tumbleweeds, knocked-over plants, and mysterious paw prints everywhere, it's time to put those mischievous fluffballs to work. First up: sweeping. The orange cat takes charge, using that bushy tail to herd dust bunnies like a pro, proving that if you can't stop the mess, at least you can chase it around.

In the kitchen, the tuxedo cat helps with the dishes by paw-dipping into every bowl and splashing water everywhere. Quality control, or just adding more chaos? Either way, the hoomans will have to finish, but the effort counts!

Meanwhile, the gray longhair confronts the dreaded vacuum, stalking the noisy beast like a true warrior, ready to pounce or retreat with dramatic flair. It's a full-on battle to keep the floors fur-free, even if the vacuum always wins.

By the end of the day, the cats have tried their best, turning cleaning into a pawsome performance.

'I also specifically picked a pet-free preference': 29-year-old grad student opted for a no-pet apar

Posted by Sarah Brown

This incoming grad student found herself in a bit of a lease litter box dilemma. She carefully picked a no-pet unit and made it clear she preferred a pet-free space. Her past experiences with pets in student housing left her pawsitively wary, especially after a roommate's anxious dog caused quite a mess. Now juggling grad school, she prefers peace over unpredictable pet chaos.

Enter the potential roommate with a surprise cat cameo. The lease was no-pets, but suddenly a feline friend was on the scene… or at least trying to be. When she checked with the leasing office, no cat was on record, leading to some lease confusion and an attempted pawsible transfer. The roommate claimed the cat was approved, but the situation felt more hissterical than harmonious.

Our grad student is sticking to the lease and communicating through official channels, not wanting to stir the litter unnecessarily. Her partner thinks she's being a bit catty, but she's just trying to keep her paws clean and her study space peaceful. In this lease cat-and-mouse game, she's just trying to keep things pawsitive and stress-free.

“She was filthy, sick, and starving—and still kinder than anyone around me”: Foster cat’s severe neg

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Cat rescues really do come in all shapes and sizes. And much like snowflakes, it is almost impossible to compare on to another. Which is perhaps why we are so drawn to them in the first place. But this particular story adds an unexpected element in which our heroic rescuer ends up saving not only one cat, but also a kitten in the process of making sure that the previous owner of the first cat that was rescued, did not have the opportunity to make the same mistake she made with her original catto with a brand-new kitten.

This is the story of a woman who would not let the threat of social alienation stop her from being a carer of all cattos. This is the story of how feline love trumps all. And most importantly, this is the story that should remind you one and all, that adopting a cute catto means giving them a world and never taking it away.
